  1. The Beach Boys are just one of those bands that are undoubtedly classic, and almost universally loved. This Greatest Hits CD is a great collection of their biggest tracks, from 'California Girls' and 'Sloop John B' to 'Good Vibrations' and the polarising 'Kokomo. /5().
  2. The Beach Boys are one of my favorite bands. The 1 star is NOT for the music or band. It is for the greedy folks at Capitol and EMI Special Markets/CEMA for releasing this horrible album. They call it 'All-Time Greatest Hits' and yet, they only include 10 songs.4/5(5).

  6. Since the Beach Boys had too many hits to fit onto one track collection, it made sense to have two separate track discs, but the dividing line is arbitrary. For its three quarters, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 appears to be a straight chronological trawl through the hits, beginning with "Surfin' Safari" and running through "Barbara Ann."10/
  7. ALL-TIME GREATEST BEACH PARTY HITS, yet another of the seemingly dozens of inexpensive Beach Boys reissues out there, holds absolutely no surprises for even the casual Beach Boys fan. However, as an introduction to the Boys' cars-and-surf era, or simply as a killer party CD.
  8. In contrast to its loaded-with-hits predecessor, Greatest Hits Volume 1: 20 Good Vibrations, Volume 2 serves up songs that stand as second-tier Beach Boys--but only in commercial terms. The likes of "In My Room," "Don't Worry, Baby," "Caroline, No," and "Heroes and Villains" stand well above Volume One 's "," "Little Deuce Coupe," and "Sloop John B" in their contribution to the group's incredible legacy/5(49).
  9. This commemorative 50th Anniversary Beach Boys release includes an song CD, a collectible page magazine and three exclusive postcards. The magazine includes dozens of rare photographs from the band's career and exclusive new interviews with Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston, Al Jardine, and David Marks.
